Cheap Tents UK

We have listed 6 categories of tent here; 2, 3 and 4 Person Tents, Dome Tents, Family Tents and Tunnel Tents.

1-2 person tents are light and ideal for backpackers and people travelling, or you could go for a 3-4 person tent which are ideal for smaller groups or couples who want more room.

Dome Tents are small and easy to erect, ideal for festivals

Family tents are perfect for larger groups and most of our family camping tents have a porch or vestibule area, which can be used for storing items such as boots etc or can even be used for cooking if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Tunnel Tents These are large, easy-pitch tents giving more headroom, more living space and more room for sleeping. Usually with two or three generously sized sleeping areas and a spacious living.

There are different ways of pitching depending on the type of tent. Inner pitch tents involve erecting an internal frame first, and then fixing the external flysheet over the top. Outer pitch tents require putting up the external tent first, and then fitting the internal sections, such as bedroom dividers, inside.

Pop-up tents pop-up straight out of the bag and fold down after use.

Tents can be either single or double skinned, great for variable conditions, from a warm summer night to cold, damp winter days. Single skinned tents are preferred for drier and warmer conditions, as they are comprised of a single layer of waterproof fabric, making them lightweight and cooler to sleep in during summer months. Double skinned tents have an extra layer of waterproof fabric to provide further protection from the elements, making them ideal for damper and cooler conditions, as the inner layer allows condensation to escape more easily allowing you to stay snug inside your tent, as well as providing another layer of insulation.

One of the most important things to consider when selecting a tent is how you will be carrying it. If you are travelling by car, a larger tent is no problem, but for a cyclist or backpacker a smaller, lightweight tent is a must.
